Taapsee Pannu-starrer ‘Naam Shabana', which hit theatres on Friday (March 31), collected approximately Rs 4.75 crore (nett) on its opening day.

Box Office: Akshay Kumar-Taapsee Pannu Starrer Naam Shabana First Day Opening!

Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Naam Shabana has finally released today at the Box Office.

Shivam Nair's Naam Shabana starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles has finally hit the theatres. The film is a spin-off to Taapsee's character from the 2015 film Baby.

The story is all about how Taapsee along with Jay Singh Rajput played by Akshay Kumar gets into a mission and how she became a part of the Baby. The film had received immense buzz over its hard-hitting trailer and moreover, Taapsee's role had already connected the audience and wanted to watch more of it.

Well, the film has released today and has got a dull opening of around 15% in the morning shows. The opening of the film is expected to be as similar as Anushka Sharma's recently released film Phillauri.

Well, when you have a star like Akshay Kumar promoting the film, it is bound to score well but with the dull opening, the expectations for the first day collections have dipped. Also, the film is made for a wider audience and considering that, Naam Shabana is expected to at least witness a decent run at the Box Office.

Now it remains to see if Naam Shabana manages to witness good occupancy in the evening and night shows. Once the positive word of mouth is out, the film is expected to show a slow pickup, though looks little tough.
