Box Office: Mubarakan jumps on Saturday, brings Rs. 7.38 crores on Day 2

Expectedly, Mubarakan showed good jump in collections on Saturday. The film brought in Rs. 7.38 crore more after bringing Rs. 5.25 crore on Friday. This was pretty much required as well since the film needs to cover a good distance in its first week itself, and hence a good pick in momentum over the weekend itself was the need of the hour. Yes, ideally the film’s Friday numbers should have been the one that has now been earned on Saturday. However, since that opportunity has gone, it all boils down to how big does the Sunday turn out to be.

The film has now collected Rs. 12.63 crore and while it is a given that Rs. 20 crore is pretty much for the taking after the opening weekend is through, there is still a long way to go before all involved with the multi-starrer can begin to breathe better.

The Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor flick has good merits going in its favor and that has resulted in word of mouth being largely positive. This is what allowed the film to jump well too. That said, in the last couple of films there has been such trending seen for Jagga Jasoos (on Saturday) and Munna Michael (on Sunday) as well but then the dreaded weekdays ended up spoiling the show. The makers of Mubarakan would be hoping that a much better fate awaits them in days to come.

After all, the film deserves that!
